I don't know about you, but my world feels like it has been placed on PAUSE and Turned Upside Down - it feels like just yesterday I was nervously embarking a flight back from New York City, but in reality, it was back in March. Yeah, that was three months ago!
I never got the chance to celebrate the wonders of walking the streets of New York City with my best friend without it being tainted with the word COVID-19. Thinking back now, I was always alert for any possible signs or symptoms of this deadly and highly-contagious virus for the first month after the trip.
It almost feels like that short trip to New York City happened in another lifetime, a completely different world from the one we are living in today.
In my heart, it feels like I'm still back in New York City walking through the streets of a vibrant world - less complicated and less toxic than today. But was it? I doubt that now.
Today I feel exposed, at times lonely, in alert and raw - as if I were standing in the wilderness. But I have the most joy, peace, and comfort- even before all this went down.
I genuinely believe that we are in the midst of something BIG. We are experiencing change/transformation. Something so many of you reading this right now fear - I see it with the people that I work with. At times they put up a fight, block themselves off, protect and retract. Like with any transformation (Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Mental/Mindset), it comes with discomfort, unfamiliarity, and uncertainty.
It will ALL result for the best - as is with any other transformation - to reap from the fruits of change; we MUST let go of the things that no longer serve us but rather embrace the wilderness of the unknown. As uncomfortable as it may feel and it unnatural as is Quarantine, we must let go of the tight grip we had on our past life and Embrace the Wilderness!
As the planet/world purges itself of all the toxins and negativity that has been destroying lives for so long. Take the time to do the same, purge everything in your life and in your body that has not served you, including relationships, nutrition, lifestyle habits, etc. Make the moves to flow into the new life that you have been blessed with, see it as an opportunity to do things differently, reinvent yourself, refresh your mindset, and heal yourself from all those things that confined you before this change.
Most importantly, calm your hearts and let God carry the world's weight for you, for there's nothing in this life that we have complete control over. Pray for HIS will to be done and for his guidance during these times - amid the storm.
